I know I rarely blog here (or anywhere) but I would really like to try to improve on that and today I was inspired by Tam's post from Calico Lane to do a little post about now
(all of which doesn't include much Tildys work... It's Sunday ;D).-

Listening: to way to much of Micheal Jackson's early early work (my 3 yr old is mad on it - 'Rockin Robin' is her fav!)

Eating: Leftovers from my birthday BBQ lunch yesterday.

Drinking: hot chocolate. Yum!

Wearing: dress pants, and a hoodie (we were at Church this morning and it's now turned cold lol).

Feeling: creative! I have the bug bad this arvo. I've already made a card and a car roll this arvo and just want to sew, sew, sew!

Weather: cool and windy

Hand stamped baby spoons.

These cute little spoons make a great shower gift for the new mum, or birthday gift for the toddler or child. It comes with a sweet ribbon tied to the base.

These spoons are about 13cm long and made from stainless steel. They are definitely made to use! They can be put in the dishwasher as many times as needed.

The spoon can be stamped with a name, date or affirmation, such as "It's a Boy" or "Baby Girl." You can choose your font, including uppercase block and lowercase typewriter (shown in the example). Stamping dates on the back of the spoon is an extra $5.

Please note: the blackening may come out with extended use, but the stamping itself will never fade! Spoon comes gift boxed ($6) (or in a lovely gift organza bag if you want to save on postage ($3 per spoon)). What a lovely keepsake! Priced at just $20.

I made up some simple business cards today and needed a little something to display them in for an up and coming market that I am attending. This is what I came up with-

Here is a little recipe book holder I made from an old silver plated teaspoon. I made it for my Mother for her Birthday. Hand stamped "ADD A PINCH OF LOVE" and "GLORIA" on the handle.

I made this spoon cuff out of a long handled stainless steel teaspoon for my cousin Amy who is hoping to open her own business later in the year. I wanted to make her a little something to help motivate her. This is her favourite quote. Hand stamped "BUILD IT & THEY WILL COME"

I've just received an email from Krista, asking if 'Tildys' can feature in Mays addition of Mylookbook.com.au online fashion magazine!

So excited and happy that a fashion magazine would want to do a feature on my humble jewellery designs.

Krista is the editor at mylookbook.com.au and fell in love with Peta's layered necklace, which she saw on Peta's blog.

I had a request for Gold. I am able to stamp on 'gold-filled' discs. What is gold filled?

Gold-filled also called rolled-gold. These jewellery findings are not actually filled with gold! They are made of a base metal (usually brass or copper) covered by sheets of gold in a mechanical bonding process. Effectively a thick coat of gold: the gold content is 5% or 1/20 of the total weight. Use gold-filled items for your top-of-the-line jewellery. Usually made with 14k gold, it is hard wearing. With reasonable care it will not peel or flake, and should last as long as solid 14k gold jewellery. It is safe for most people with sensitive skin.

Sterling silver pendants.

I have been busy in my creative space AKA the kitchen table, creating some lovely sterling silver pendants for some very special people.

Here are a selection of what I've created so far -

Mine -I had to try out my new tools first of course ;) -

I then created this beautiful piece for Marni... how lovely to be able to have your loved ones close to you at all times. A one inch disc with Hubby and her name and a separate 1/2 inch disc with their darling daughters name, a white freshwater pearl adds a touch of girly elegance -

and this one for Clair who is having another disc added in about a month when her new bundle of joy joins her family. Two one inch discs with 2 semi-pecious stones and a white freshwater pearl -

This pendant was created as a wedding gift for a bride. What a lovely thoughtful idea. The bride and groom with their wedding date on a separate washer with a white freshwater pearl -

lastly is a single one inch disc with a genuine swarovski crystal that I made for my brother for his girlfriend for Valentines day-
